We are delighted to introduce Dr. Junsung (John) Lee as the newest addition to our team!

Dr. Lee joined the Van Vliet group on Monday, August 26th, eager to spend his postdoctoral research studying biological phenomena from an engineering perspective.

He recently completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University, where his research focused on investigating the mechanical properties of bacteria and their response to mechanical stimuli using innovative microfluidic systems. Prior to his PhD, Dr. Lee attended the University of California, Berkeley where he earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

Dr. Lee is originally from South Korea and enjoys spending his free time playing Squash. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Dr. Lee as he embarks on this exciting new chapter with our team!
